If you’ve lived in Serra Mesa for any length of time, you know the feeling: there was a planning group meeting about the lot down the street, and you heard about it the day after. The notice was there, on a city page, or in a PDF, or on a flyer by the library door. It’s all public. It’s just scattered, and nobody has time to go looking.
We’re a couple who live here, and we got tired of missing things. So we built this site to keep the useful bits in one place: when the planning group and community council meet, what’s being built nearby and where it stands, comment deadlines while there’s still time to comment, and who to call about a pothole, a school question, or a brush-clearance notice.
A few things you should know about us. We don’t work for the City, and nobody pays us. It’s the two of us, evenings and weekends, so if something is out of date, it’s because we haven’t caught it yet. Every date and every status links back to where we found it, so you never have to take our word for it. The rules we go by are on how this site is run.
You can help, and it’s easy!
You know your street better than we do. If a meeting moved, a link died, or there’s something coming up your neighbors would want to hear about, send it through the contact page. Corrections are the most useful thing anyone can send us, and we mean that.
